King of the Pets
Pay to crown your pet. 15% goes to an animal shelter.
A leaderboard for pets, ranked by what people have actually paid to crown them. A bid is a top-up, not a replacement. Whatever you pay is added to your pet's standing total, so taking the crown costs the gap to the current leader plus $1, and everything you've already spent still counts toward your rank. 15% of every bid is earmarked for an animal shelter. No accounts, no subscription. Upload a photo, name your pet, and pay what you like.
I built kingof.pet as a fun, competitive twist on the viral pay-to-rank leaderboard concept, reimagined specifically for our pets.
Here’s the main mechanic: a bid is a top-up, not a replacement. Whatever you pay gets added to your pet's running total. Taking the crown only costs the gap to the current leader plus $1. Nothing you spend is ever wasted, and the price of the top spot is dynamically driven by everyone who came before you.
Best of all, 15% of every bid goes directly to animal shelters, so every attempt to claim the throne supports a great cause.

Who hunted King of the Pets?
King of the Pets was hunted by Isuru Prabath. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
