Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Most football management software is built for Premier League clubs with big IT teams. We built KickPilot for the other 99%: grassroots coaches, amateur clubs, futsal leagues – for all who need pro-level tools without the complexity or the price tag. What we ship today: ⚽ Interactive lineup builder (11v11, futsal, drag & drop) 💳 Payment tracking: see instantly who owes what 📅 Team calendar with RSVP: know who's actually coming 👥 Dedicated portals for coaches, players, and parents 📊 Player stats, injuries, attendance — all in one place We have a free forever plan for small teams, no credit card needed. 👉 👉 👉 As a thank you to the community, we also have a special launch deal. Use the promo code >> PH2026 << to get 1 month free on our Club plan. Happy to answer any questions about the product, what we learned building for grassroots football, or how we approached the player/parent experience. Ask us anything! 🙌

Comment highlights

Finally something my Sunday league side might actually adopt. The payments piece alone saves me chasing three lads for match fees every week, and the lineup builder looks way less painful than the spreadsheet I've been clinging to.

Co-Founder & CRO here. My job isn't just growth, it's making sure the product earns the right to be paid for, every month.

Before launch we talked to 50+ grassroots coaches. Almost nobody said "I need more features." They said "I tried three tools and gave up." That told us retention starts before the first login; it starts at setup.

So we made onboarding a revenue metric, not just a UX one. Benchmark: squad built + first invite sent in under 10 minutes. We're averaging 7 minutes right now, and we track it like any other conversion funnel.

The feature that keeps coming up in "why I switched" conversations: the lineup builder - drag-and-drop on a pitch shaped like your actual formation. Small thing, huge trust signal.

Another thing coaches like - ability to customize functionality they have in their Admin Panel. We have modular system where you can turn ON/OFF some modules like Financials, Lineups, Player Health, Documents and etc.

What's usually the deciding moment for you when a new tool either sticks or gets abandoned?

The fun challenge for me: "football club management software" isn't a high-intent search term. Coaches don't wake up thinking that. So most of our organic strategy is about ranking for the actual problems coaches Google: "how to organize football lineups," "free tool to collect team payments," etc.

If you're a coach who's Googled your way into frustration before, I'm genuinely curious what you searched for. Helps us build the right content.

As the CTO, the question I got asked most while building this was: "Why should a club trust you with kids' medical records?"

Fair question. So GDPR compliance wasn't a launch checklist item — it shaped the architecture from day one. EU-hosted, encrypted, role-based access (coaches see everything, players/parents only see themselves), and we never sell or share data.

The other deliberate call: PWA before native. A grassroots coach juggling lineups on a Sunday morning doesn't want an App Store download — they want it to just work. Add to home screen, done. Native iOS/Android is next.

Ask me anything about the stack — I'll be in the comments all day.
