KeyRunner 2.0 goes beyond API testing. Teams can now turn tested APIs into tools for AI agents, connect them through MCP or SDK, and run them securely with credentials, policies, approvals, redaction, and observability built in. It brings API development and agent execution into one workflow, without exposing production secrets to the agent.

Hey Product Hunt !! We launched KeyRunner here about 2 years ago as a secure API client. Since then, the way APIs are being used has changed a lot. They’re no longer only called by developers and applications. AI agents are starting to use them to take real actions. That pushed us to rethink what KeyRunner should become. With KeyRunner 2.0, teams can build and test APIs, turn them into tools for AI agents, connect them through MCP or SDK, and run those actions securely with credentials, policies, approvals, redaction, and observability built in. We also introduced CodeLens support, so developers can work directly from VS Code or Cursor and convert an API into an AI tool from their existing code workflow. One thing we care deeply about: agents should get the capabilities they need without being handed production credentials. This is a major step forward for KeyRunner, and I’d really value feedback from developers building with APIs, MCP, and AI agents. Would love to hear what you think.
