I build small self-hosted tools for indie hackers and KeyMint is the one I kept needing myself. Every time I sold a digital product I hit the same wall: how do I hand out license keys and check if they're valid without paying for a license API.
The paid options work fine but they're subscriptions, and paying $29/month to validate a few keys felt backwards when I'm pre-revenue. So I built the thing as source code you own outright.
You can poke the demo without signing up. Curious what license-key edge cases I'm missing — partial refunds, key transfers, that kind of thing. If you've sold digital products and dealt with this, I'd love to hear how you handled it.
