Kermo
Free UK MOT history, fuel prices & expiry reminders
Kermo gives UK drivers three things in one place: π MOT History Check β Enter any UK registration and instantly see the full DVSA test history: every pass, fail, advisory and mileage reading since 2005. Completely free, no account needed. β½ Local Fuel Prices β Real-time petrol and diesel prices from stations near you. Stop guessing which forecourt is cheapest. π MOT & Tax Reminders β Save your vehicles to your Kermo Garage and get email reminders before your MOT or road tax expires.
Hi Product Hunt! π I'm Dmytro, the maker of Kermo.
I built this out of personal frustration. Buying a used car in the UK is a minefield of hidden issues, and checking the official DVSA history usually means reading through walls of text. I wanted something that instantly highlights the real red flags: mileage drops (clocking) and repeated structural failures.
While I was at it, I added real-time local fuel prices (because prices here vary wildly even within a few miles) and automated MOT/tax email reminders for your own garage.
Kermo is entirely free, ad-free, and requires no account for basic checks.
I built this with Spring Boot and Next.js. I'd love to hear your feedback on the UI or any features you'd like to see next! Happy to answer any questions about the tech stack or dealing with the UK government APIs.
