Keelbook is a private maintenance logbook for UK narrowboat owners — not a canal map, not a 14-day mooring or CRT cruise-evidence app. Log engine hours with gloves-friendly +1 / +0.5 / custom taps. Record pump-outs and water fills. Keep one expiry each for BSS, CRT licence, and insurance, with optional local reminders 30 / 7 / 1 days before due. Everything stays on your iPhone: no account, no cloud, no ads. Airplane mode works. £7.99 once on the App Store.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Keelbook after living the same gap on the cut: canal maps tell you where you are, cruise apps track 14-day stays — but nobody owns the cabin ledger. Engine hours, last pump-out, BSS / CRT / insurance dates were scattered across paper that gets damp, phone calendars that get ignored, and “I’ll remember.”
Wi‑Fi on the towpath is flaky, and you’re often still wearing gloves when you want to log a run. So the product is deliberately small: big tap targets for hours, a simple service log, three paper dates with local reminders, and a mixed History timeline — all offline on one iPhone. No account, no sync, no map, no subscriptions.
£7.99 once. If you keep a narrowboat (or know someone who does), I’d love honest feedback from the first week on board.
