I decided a few months ago to go on a serious weight loss journey (for my health) with a focus on CICO (calories in / calories out), as this is one of the most effective ways to reach one's goals when done properly and with discipline. To help me with this goal, I needed a simple tool to track my weight and calorie intake with respect to my daily calorie goal. After searching for days and trying many different available apps, I became frustrated by the excessive ads, endless lifestyle and health questionnaires, complex macro features, paywalls (some apps that used to be amazing now require paid upgrades to access a simple barcode scanner!). So, I decided to build something myself, adapted to exactly what I need: straightforward and simple calorie logging (from barcode scan / open source databases, custom food library, AI photo analysis, or simply a direct calorie number input), in addition to weight tracking with visual graphs that allow me to analyze my calorie intake and weight evolution over time and adjust my diet as needed. I've made it free and without ads because I use it every day for myself, and I would love to share it with anyone else who might find it useful on their own journey.
