Karo is for anyone who opens YouTube five minutes into a focus session guilty. Choose one task, start a timer, play some focus music, and let Karo block the sites you picked. It’s free, private, works offline, and needs no account.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Karo because my focus routine was getting ridiculous: start a timer, work for five minutes, open YouTube “for a second”… and somehow it’s lunchtime.
I wanted something calmer than another complicated productivity system, so I made a quiet desk buddy that helps you:
- Keep one task beside your timer
- Block only the distracting sites you choose
- Work with focus music and ambient sounds
- Capture notes and take guided breaks
- Keep everything private and stored locally
Karo is free, works offline, and requires no account. Cloud sync is completely optional.
I’d love honest feedback: try one focus session and tell me what confused you, what felt good, or what made you want to leave.
Thanks for checking out my little desk buddy 🌱

Who hunted karo?
karo was hunted by Akshay Solanki. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
