Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I built KarmItUp to bring back real community connection and mutual aid to our neighborhoods.
We often need small favors, whether it’s borrowing a tool for a weekend project, finding someone local to feed a pet while on vacation, or getting help moving a heavy piece of furniture. At the same time, many of us are happy to lend a helping hand when we can!
What is KarmItUp!?
It’s a mobile app built around an interactive map interface where neighbors can post favor requests and offers. To keep interactions fair, balanced, and engaging, it uses a points-based Karma system:
- Earn Karma points when you help someone.
- Spend Karma points when you get helped by someone.
Why I built it:
Existing local platforms often feel spammy or transaction-focused. I wanted to build a clean, map-driven experience centered on trust, reputation, and genuine community goodwill.
I’d love for you to check it out on iOS or Android, share your feedback, and let me know what features you’d like to see next! What’s one favor you’ve recently needed or offered in your neighborhood?
