Kann is a Japanese vocabulary learning app, we launched the iOS version in November and now the Android version is available!

When we launched the iOS version a few months ago a lot of people asked about Android. Today I'm happy to say the app has been published on the store and is available for all. Here is the deal, there's already many Japanese language learning app out there but they all focus on text books and school curriculum. Kann let you pick and choose what you are interested in (business, anime, food, slangs...) and help you level up faster. Vocabulary is what we all lack in Japanese so I build this app to help me learn and progress faster. I'm adding new dictionary and topics often, don't hesitate to ask for a specific topic! Have fun learning Japanese you care about!

@aaoa One question—do you plan to add example sentences or context-based learning? Many Japanese words change meaning based on the situation, like 「やばい」 which can mean both "dangerous" and "amazing." If AI could help analyze usage contexts, it would make learning even more practical!
Congratulations on the successful launch of the Android version! Expanding access is key to user growth. How do you plan to differentiate the user experience between the iOS and Android platforms moving forward?
First of all I love the look of the interface, as someone who has watched their fair bit of Anime this might just be the last piece of the puzzle into taking the step to actually learn Japanese.
I like the breakdown into 'Particle Usage, Function & meaning' it seems really intuitive & usable :)
Best of luck w/ the launch Anatole & team!!
Love the app! Any plans for anime/manga related content? Would be super fun to learn vocab through scenes we love, or have character-themed study modes 💭
from Twitter, to twitch, to product hunt. congratulations man, well done on the app 🙏
Great to see Kann expanding to Android! As someone interested in Japanese language learning, I appreciate apps that let you focus on vocabulary that's personally relevant. The iOS version launch in November showed promise, and now Android users can join in. Perfect timing too - launching on Valentine's Day! Looking forward to seeing how the app grows across both platforms. がんばって! (Good luck!)
I am learning Japanese, but I tend to forget words quickly. I wonder if this app can help users reinforce their vocabulary?
First of all, congrats on the launch! Btw, how do you plan to keep users coming back to the app daily?
Congrats! Does it have a review and testing feature to check the user’s learning progress?
