Most travellers want to document their trips, but actually sitting down to journal every day takes time. Miss a day or two and suddenly you're a week behind. Photos and travel apps are great at remembering where you went, but not what actually happened. Journey Jotter lets you talk or type about your day, answers with thoughtful prompts, then turns it into a beautiful journal written in your own voice — in under three minutes, giving you the time back to enjoy your travels.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Sam, founder of Journey Jotter. I’ve travelled to over 52 countries, and the idea for Journey Jotter came from a problem I kept having myself. On a trip around South America, I tried to properly journal my travels. I missed a couple of days, fell behind, and suddenly I couldn’t remember half of what I’d actually done. I ended up dumping random notes into Apple Notes — messy, uninspiring, and nowhere close to capturing what the trip actually felt like. After speaking to other travellers, I realised I wasn’t alone. People want to remember their trips, but when you’re actually travelling, journaling often feels like homework. And once you fall behind, it snowballs. There are some brilliant travel apps that help you remember where you’ve been. But I wanted something that helped remember what actually happened — the people you met, the random meal you stumbled across, the ridiculous hostel story, the spontaneous night out, and all the little moments that somehow become the best memories. So I built Journey Jotter. You simply talk or type about your day, answer a few thoughtful prompts, add your photos, and it turns everything into a journal written in your own voice. I genuinely love travelling, and if Journey Jotter helps even one person properly capture memories they’d otherwise have forgotten, I’ll be a very happy man. Would love to hear what you think ❤️
