A few months ago, I realized something terrifying: every time I opened my social feed for a quick 2-minute break, I walked away 30 minutes later feeling anxious, drained, and angry.
Between low-effort ragebait, crypto scams, sponsored gambling, and toxic celebrity drama, our attention is constantly being hijacked by algorithms designed to trigger our worst emotions.
I bought a pair of Sony noise-canceling headphones last year, and they changed my commute forever. The background roar of the subway just vanished. That was my "aha!" moment:

Traditional keyword ad-blockers never worked for me. Regex is dumbβit either blocks too much or misses the subtle nuances of sarcasm and ragebait. On the other hand, putting a giant LLM in front of every post causes 2-second page freezes, terrible layout jumping (CLS), and burns through dollars.
So we spent months engineering ZenFeed from scratch to solve this:
