I built Jerry after spending way too much of my time as a freelancer doing one embarrassing thing: chasing clients for money I'd already earned.
I tried every invoicing tool out there. They all made it easy to send the invoice. None of them helped you actually get paid. You'd still end up writing the awkward follow-ups yourself, three weeks after the due date, pretending it wasn't a big deal.
