💡 What Inspired This
A few months ago, I was sitting through yet another remote team standup that started with 5 minutes of dead, awkward silence. Everyone was staring at muted boxes on screen, waiting for someone to speak. We tried running quick warm-up games, but every tool out there required everyone to download an app, create an account, or sit through a 10-minute setup. The friction killed the fun before we even started.
🎯 The Problem We’re Solving
Team bonding shouldn't feel like admin work. Most remote teams want quick icebreakers, but facilitators don't have time to prep them, and participants don't want to sign up for another single-use tool just to play a 3-minute game during a Zoom call.
🚀 How We Approached It & The Evolution
We built JellyKraft with one core rule: Zero Friction.
No attendee sign-ups: The host creates a room, shares a 1-click link or QR code, and the whole team is playing in under 10 seconds.
Bite-sized format: Games are specifically engineered to take 3–5 minutes—perfect for the start of standups, workshops, or Friday socials without hijacking the meeting agenda.
Built for real work environments: Simple, web-based, and browser-friendly so it works seamlessly alongside Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, or Miro.
During early testing, we realized teams loved fast-paced, low-stakes interactions over complex rules. So we stripped back everything complicated and focused purely on instant engagement.
