Find large folders, review temporary files, stop processes, and see which apps use your ports. Jarvis puts everyday computer tools in a terminal and local browser dashboard. Free, open source, and no API key required. Available in beta.
Hey Product Hunt! I’m Ashish, the maker of Jarvis Workbench.
A full drive. An app that won’t close. A port occupied by a process you can’t identify.
These are everyday problems, but solving them often means remembering commands or jumping between settings pages.
I’m building Jarvis to make that work easier—for people comfortable with the terminal and people still learning it.
Here’s what you can try today:
• Find large files and folders, then review eligible old temporary files for cleanup.
• Inspect running processes and stop a selected process after confirmation.
• Check occupied ports, process IDs, and app names where available.
• Reveal a saved Wi-Fi password on Windows after confirmation.
• Switch between a keyboard-driven terminal dashboard and a local browser interface.
Jarvis is free, open source, and runs locally. No API key required.
This is a public beta. I’d love feedback on confusing workflows, platform issues, and the everyday tasks we should simplify next. Code and design contributions are welcome too.
With Node.js 22 or 24 installed, run:
npm i -g @ashishkkb/jarvis-workbench@beta
Then launch jarvis or jarvis --web.
What’s one computer task you know should be easier than it currently is?
