Train. Collect. Compete. IronPack is a gym tracker - sets, reps, PBs, progression - with a trading card game built on top. Log your training, earn packs, rip them open. Everything is earned. No ads, no card purchases, no shortcuts. Weekly leagues and friend boards rank you on what you actually lift. Every card is researched and fact-checked, so collecting doubles as a way into learning about Greek gods, and strongman history (our first collections). 213 cards live, built by one person in NZ.
I was sick of games that were addictive but got me nowhere. Hours gone, nothing to show for it.
So I built the opposite - a game where the more you play, the stronger you actually get. Finish a workout, earn a pack, rip it open. Weekly leagues rank you on what you lifted, not on how long you were holding your phone.
One rule decided everything else: nothing in the collection can be bought. No ads, no packs for sale, no paid shortcut. There is a subscription for charts and extra routines, but every card is earned under real training. A binder money can fill is not worth filling.
The second rule was that the cards had to be worth reading. 213 are live with many more on the way, every fact checked against the source. People are collecting Zeus and Eugen Sandow between sets and picking up some history on the way.
It is just me - the app, the writing, the art direction - from New Zealand.
