Hi everyone! I’m Justin, and my team and I at Aquaberry built Ipsae because we ran into a problem that every language learner seems to have. I’ve been studying Korean for over a year and currently live in Korea. Even with classes, immersion, and daily practice, I kept forgetting the vocabulary I looked up throughout the day. I’d ask ChatGPT or Google Translate what a word meant, understand it in the moment, and then never see it again. Traditional flashcards solve part of the problem, but I never wanted to stop what I was doing to create cards, organize decks, and keep everything updated. That friction meant I simply didn’t do it. So we built Ipsae. Whenever you ask about a Korean word or phrase, Ipsae automatically creates a flashcard for you and adds it to a personalized review deck. No manual deck building. No extra work. Just keep asking questions naturally, and your vocabulary grows alongside your real experiences. We don’t see Ipsae as a replacement for teachers, tutors, or the apps you already use. It’s designed to be the AI companion that remembers the words you cared enough to ask about—and helps you remember them too. We’re launching today to see if this resonates with other Korean learners. We’d love to hear what you think, what features you’d like to see, and how you currently keep track of new vocabulary. Thanks for checking us out!

this looks really cool, the auto flashcard thing from real life words is honestly such a smart idea. one thing that would make it way better for me is some kind of audio pronunciation when the flashcard pops up, since korean sounds are tricky and just seeing the word isn't always enough

This is genuinely useful since it skips the tedious part of building decks by hand. One thing that would honestly make it stick for me though is adding audio for native pronunciation on each card, ideally with a slow and normal speed toggle. Hearing the words out loud would help way more than just reading romanization, you know
