Hi all!
Just sharing a simple tool for making your life with Google Calendar easier.
I noticed some of my flights weren't showing up in my calendar if I booked them using certain services. I also have been attending a few weddings and other events with a bunch of small events in a bigger itinerary.
With invite.sh, you just copy and paste in that flight confirmation email, the wedding itinerary, music festival lineup, etc and get links to add the events directly to your calendar.
It's dead simple and it's open source https://github.com/jrhizor/invite
Hope you all like it! Let me know if you find it useful or any ideas on what could be improved. Have a nice weekend!
Hey Jared, stumbled upon your tool through a friend's recommendation and gotta say it's a neat concept but it seems like just another version of existing tools like Calendly or Doodle right? A big plus is not needing access to a Google account but why'd anyone switch if they're already used to those other platforms? Also any plans for integrating with other calendar systems?
I came across your new tool by chance while browsing, I gotta say I'm a bit skeptical though, having used similar tools like Calendly and Doodle, I'm wondering how yours stands out, especially since those already pretty much dominate this space, Privacy concerns aren't really a big deal for me but I guess it's nice that you don't ask for access to Google accounts, anyway I think there's room for improvement but good luck with it
Jared, I get the purpose and all but why not go a step further and add a reminder feature that not only adds the event to your Google Calendar but also sends reminders without needing access, sounds like a missed opportunity for users who need more functionality, also, how does it handle recurring events 🤔 would love to see some more advanced options in the next version, good luck with it
Sounds like a handy tool, especially for those who juggle a lot of events. Haven't tried it yet, but the concept is super practical. Congrats on the launch!
Nice one. Can't said I've run into the problem myself, but the website looks nice and clean!
This is such a great tool, @jrhizor! The fact that it’s open source makes it even more appealing. I often find myself struggling with event management in Google Calendar, especially with itineraries. The process of copying and pasting seems effortless, and I can see this improving my workflow significantly. Any plans for additional features? This is truly a game-changer for managing events. 🌟
Simple, quick, and extremely easy to use, and unlike other tools, does not infringe on the user's privacy by asking for access to their Google account.
Thank you for creating Invite.sh! It is quite the domain name too- short and memorable.
Congratulations on the launch Jared!
🌟 Congrats on the launch! It’s inspiring to see your vision become reality. This tool is exactly what we've been waiting for. I’ll definitely be using it. Keep up the great work! 💻 @jrhizor

Can't wait to try invite.sh and see if it catches all my missed flights ☁️✈️. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Let's share our thoughts!
This sounds super useful! @jrhizor, how do you handle different time zones for events? Would love to see that feature in the future!

This is a game changer, @jrhizor! I can't tell you how many important flights and events I've missed just because they didn’t auto-populate. Invite.sh sounds super useful for keeping my calendar organized without the usual hassle. Kudos for making it open source—definitely will give it a go! Upvoted!
