We've opened up this tool in a completely disinterested manner. We've launched other successful free tools, like our Temporary Email or Virus Scan services. We're not monetizing these in any way; it is completely open source. But we really hope that it helps you stay safe online very straightforwardly. If we manage to get your support & enough people use our VPN, we will keep developing this free tool to add more features to it - eg ability to choose location, desktop app, mobile app, etc
Missed this on launch day - are there any strings attached here (upsells?) or is it just an open source product…. I guess my question is - is there a path to revenue?

Free VPN and your company will use other income to subsidize this project? As a user, I wouldn't have a peace of mind that one day you will terminate this project. What's your comment on this concern?
