I built Inheritance Voice because I kept seeing the same thing - people have thousands of voice notes and photos of the people they love, and none of it is actually findable when it matters most. So I built something narrower on purpose, it only ever draws from what your family actually recorded. Real voice, real journals, real photos. Nothing invented.
Funny enough, I started building this for one person—the one left behind, grieving. But pretty quickly I realized that’s backwards. Someone has to actually gather the memories while a person’s still here, and someone usually ends up holding the whole thing together afterward. So it became three roles instead of one, and that single realization rewired almost the entire app.
I built this solo, so if something feels off definitely say so. Especially curious whether the “grounded, no AI fantasy” approach feels right for something this emotionally loaded.
