Most food scanners give everyone the same verdict. IngreFit asks a different question: does this product fit your goals? Scan a barcode to get a personalized 1–10 fit score based on ingredients, nutrition, allergens, Nutri-Score and NOVA. If the product isn't in the database, scan its packaging to analyze it. Facts stay separate from AI-generated explanations and estimates.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m the maker of IngreFit.
Most food scanners try to answer one generic question: “Is this healthy?” I wanted to build something around a more useful question: “Does this fit my goals?”
IngreFit takes the facts available for a product and compares them with what matters to you - more protein, less sugar or salt, more fiber, less processed food, your eating pattern, allergens, and ingredients you prefer to avoid.
🔎 Unlimited barcode scans
🎯 A personalized 1–10 fit score
🧾 Ingredients, nutrition, allergens, Nutri-Score & NOVA when available
📷 Product missing from the database? Scan the packaging instead
🤖 AI explanations grounded in the available product data
🌍 50 supported languages
One thing I cared about a lot while building IngreFit was separating facts from AI estimates. Package facts stay package facts. If something is unknown, it stays unknown. If a barcode isn’t in the database, IngreFit can extract product information from the packaging. I wanted this fallback to be transparent too: extracted or inferred information is clearly distinguished from verified product data.
The goal is not to tell everyone that the same foods are “good” or “bad.” The same product can make sense for someone looking for more protein and be a poor fit for someone limiting sugar.
I’d especially love your feedback on two things:
1. Is the 1–10 fit score immediately understandable?
2. What would make IngreFit more useful while you’re standing in a supermarket aisle?
Thanks for checking it out - I’ll be here all day reading and replying to feedback 🙌
