InfraSim: System Design Game
Build cloud systems, deploy them, watch them break
A mobile game where you design cloud architecture (load balancers, caches, databases, queues), deploy it, and watch simulated traffic hit it. Traffic spikes, zone outages and bot swarms break things, and a postmortem explains exactly why. 47 levels, Survival mode, a Daily Challenge leaderboard and a Sandbox. Out now on iOS and Android: free to start, no ads, no account needed.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built InfraSim because system design is usually taught as boxes on a whiteboard, and you never get to see the design fail. In InfraSim you drag services onto a canvas, wire them up, hit deploy, and watch traffic flow. Latency, cost and errors move because of what you built, not a script.
Then an incident lands: a traffic spike, a zone goes dark, a retry storm. You have seconds to find the bottleneck, and if you don't, the postmortem walks through exactly what took you down.
What's in it:
- 47-level campaign, from a single server to multi-region (first 15 free)
- Startup Survival: endless escalating incidents
- Daily Challenge with a global leaderboard
- Sandbox and a full Learn encyclopedia, both free
Everything simulates on-device and deterministically, so the same seed always plays out the same way. No ads, no energy timers, no account required.
I'd love to hear which incident gets you first, and what real-world outage you'd want turned into a level.
