I built In10Years because a scheduled email never really feels gone - it sits in your account as another editable piece of digital clutter. I wanted the small ritual of writing once, checking the date, and letting the letter disappear until it matters again.
In10Years keeps the core experience free: write a letter, choose the day, and receive it by email. Once sealed, the message is encrypted and cannot be read or edited before delivery. If the letter still feels worth holding closer to the date, a printed version is optional.
The hardest design choice was resisting features. No public feed, AI rewrite, streak, or productivity score. The letter should sound like the person writing it, not the product around it.
I would especially value feedback on the moment between writing and sealing: does it feel clear, trustworthy, and final enough?
love that you can't reread your own letter before it's sent. that's a brave UX choice and it actually makes the whole ritual feel honest.
The seal-it-and-can't-reread-it mechanic is honestly such a clever way to get people to actually be honest with their future selves. Love that the email side stays free too, makes it feel like a thoughtful gift rather than a cash grab.
