In-Tab Tools
Text, image and PDF tools. Nothing ever leaves your tab.
Browser-side tools for text styling, image compression, PDF to Markdown, stripping metadata, and drawing grids. Nothing is uploaded, no account required. No AI in the pipeline, no ads, no paid tier. Every tool is deterministic code running on your own machine, and pages are statically prerendered. Honest limits: a scanned PDF has no text layer, so text cannot be pulled out of it. Large images are downscaled for the canvas preview. The grid export is a flattened PNG, not a layered file.
I kept hitting the same friction: needing to get a photo under some portal's 100KB limit, or pull text out of a PDF, and every result was a site that wanted an upload, an account, or both — for work a browser can do locally in a few hundred lines of JavaScript.
So this is the version I wanted. The file never leaves the tab, there is no sign-up, and there is no AI anywhere in the pipeline. Those are deliberate constraints, not a stage we are at before adding features.
No ads and no paid tier either, which I mention only because it explains the design: nothing on the page is competing with the tool for your attention.
A few things I deliberately did not hide — a scanned PDF has no text layer, so text cannot be pulled out of it; large images get downscaled for the canvas preview; the grid export is a flattened PNG. Those limits are written on the pages themselves rather than discovered after you upload something.
Happy to answer anything about how a specific tool works, and I would genuinely like to hear which one is missing.

Who hunted In-Tab Tools?
In-Tab Tools was hunted by YAN. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
