I’m a creator, not an accountant!
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve always found the administrative and accounting side of running a business quite overwhelming. I’d much rather focus my energy on the actual work and execution, as the "back-office" tasks always felt like a major energy drain.
I’ve been freelancing for years, and over the past two years, I’ve grown into founding my studio with a small, talented team of creators. As we grew, I realized that having a system—even a simple one—for tracking accounts, invoices, and client data was no longer optional. You simply can't run a professional business without one.
So, I started looking for tools that fit a small, service-based business. I found myself stuck between two choices:
Full-scale ERP or accounting software: These look great and cover everything, but they were either too complex (designed for accountants), built for product-based businesses with inventory, or just way too expensive.
Manual Spreadsheets: I built my own simple system, but over time, it became clear that this wasn't scalable. I needed something better, with automation and room for growth.
That’s why we built impostarz.
