I built IGDetective because every Instagram tracker I tried had the same problem: they either wanted my Instagram password (no thanks) or gave me data on a weekly delay. I just wanted to point at any public account and see what's actually happening, like who they started following, who they unfollowed, who they engage with most, who just started following them, without having to give my Instagram info and without waiting.
So that's what this is: anonymous, real-time on demand, works on any public account, no password required. Along the way it grew a Story Viewer and Gossip Chat — an AI you can literally ask "what's @username been up to this week?"
