If you've ever finished something big — a book, a thesis, a piece of software — you know the process: divide and conquer, bounce constantly between the big picture and the detail, follow the ideas when they're flowing, and every so often stop and want to rise up and see the whole shape from above. I did that for 15 years with scrap paper, Post-its, napkins — genuinely messy work, and I lost plenty of notes along the way.
And to be upfront: I'm not a coder by trade — I built this with AI tools and a lot of trial and error, because it solved a real problem for me. It worked so well I thought others might benefit too, including people building software, since I think it's the same underlying process as writing a chapter or a thesis. If something's broken or clunky, tell me here — I read everything and I'm actively fixing things.
One thing that's new: you can now optionally log in to sync your work across devices (built on Supabase). It's still local-first and fully usable with zero account — the login is just there for people who want their canvas on their phone and laptop both.
