Last summer, my wife Ida and I decided to redesign our garden. We had a rough idea of what we wanted but no way to visualize it. We tried every tool we could find — mood boards, AI image generators, even sketching on paper. Nothing worked. Mood boards felt disconnected from our actual house. AI renders looked like someone else's garden. And neither of us can draw.
Ida said: "I just want to point at our garden and say — what if we put a pergola there?" That sentence became the product.
I'm a developer. Ida is a designer. We started building a tool that does exactly what she described: you upload photos of your garden, AI transforms them into clean architectural sketches, and then you design in a chat. "Add lavender along the path." "Move the seating area to the sunny side." The sketch updates in seconds.
The magic is that it works with YOUR property — your house, your trees, your weird L-shaped lot. Not a generic template.
We named it Ida Studio, because she's the one who saw the product before I wrote a single line of code.
