Most icon libraries make you pick a lane: a subscription for something generic (Streamline), $59+ for icons designed to be invisible (Untitled UI), or a free hand-drawn set capped around 40 icons. Icon Shelf is 975 hand-drawn icons across 19 categories with real character — 3 styles (Wash, Line, Filled) from one source. Free to browse. $24 one-time unlocks unlimited downloads plus a Figma pack with true Style + Size variants (8,775 components), not duplicated frames.

Hey PH — I looked at what's actually available before building this. A subscription for a generic icon set (Streamline, $19-29/mo forever). A one-time $59+ set that's deliberately designed to be as neutral and forgettable as possible (Untitled UI Icons — that's genuinely their stated goal). Or a free hand-drawn set that runs out at 40-100 icons in a single style. None of those had what I actually wanted: real character, at real production scale, properly built for Figma. The process evolved a lot along the way — I started around 100 icons and kept expanding once the drawing pipeline worked, ending at 975 across 19 categories. The part I'm most proud of: every icon has one source drawing, and the three styles (Wash, Line, Filled) are derived from it instead of drawn three times — the filled style uses an SVG mask to knock out interior line detail from a solid shape. Same system powers the Figma variants, so switching styles in Figma is a dropdown, not hunting through duplicated frames. Happy to answer anything about the icon set, the pricing, or how it's organized.
