IBANgen is a synthetic banking data tool for developers and QA teams. Generate checksum-valid test IBANs for 119 countries, validate IBANs, enrich results with SWIFT/BIC and bank metadata, export CSV/JSON/XML datasets, and use a REST API for payment-form QA, staging and CI tests.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built IBANgen to help developers, QA engineers and fintech teams test banking and payment workflows without using real customer bank data.
When you build payment forms, onboarding flows, banking integrations or API tests, you often need realistic IBAN-like data. But using real bank accounts in staging, demos or automated tests creates privacy, security and compliance risks.
IBANgen solves this by generating synthetic banking test data that is useful for development and QA workflows.
With IBANgen, you can:
• Generate checksum-valid synthetic IBANs for 119 countries
• Validate IBANs for forms, APIs and QA tests
• Enrich results with SWIFT/BIC and bank metadata when available
• Export datasets as CSV, JSON or XML
• Use the REST API for automated testing and CI workflows
• Create realistic test data without touching real bank accounts
The goal is to make financial test data safer, faster and easier for developers and QA teams.
I would love feedback from the Product Hunt community:
1. Would you use this more as a web tool, API or bulk dataset generator?
2. What banking/payment test-data workflows are painful for your team?
3. Which countries, formats or data types should I add next?
Thanks for checking out IBANgen.
