Hi Product Hunt!I’m the founder of HyperSparks. I am an Army veteran, but more importantly, I am a parent to an incredible neurodivergent son.Watching him face deep isolation because standard dating apps are a sensory and social minefield broke my heart. The unwritten social rules, overwhelming clutter, and superficial swiping left him feeling left behind. I refused to let him grow up lonely, so I personally built HyperSparks.HyperSparks is a dating and connection platform designed from the ground up for ADHD, autistic, and neurodivergent minds. We eliminate the exhausting 'neurotypical mask' by focusing on hyperfixations, offering a low-battery sensory mode, and providing guided communication tools to ease social anxiety.Right now, we are officially looking for our first 200 beta testers to help us break, test, and perfect the platform before our full live launch. You do not have to be single or looking for love to be a tester. If you are an ally, a designer, or part of the neurodivergent community and want to help test our functionality, look, and safety features, your voice is desperately needed. As a thank you, our first 200 beta testers will get 3 months of Premium Access completely free once we trigger the app live in their area.I’m not a massive tech corporation with a marketing budget. I’m just a parent trying to build a safer world for my son and millions like him.Head to hypersparksapp.com to sign up as an early beta tester today. Your support, feedback, and upvotes mean the absolute world to our family. I’d love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions in the comments below!
A small idea from someone who knows a few folks with sensory needs: add a customizable "energy level" indicator on profiles that users can update daily, so matches can quickly tell whether today is a good day for a long chat or just a quick check-in. It would take a lot of the guesswork out of planning conversations and reduce unintentional overwhelm.
One thing that would help me is a "pause notifications for X hours" toggle right on the home screen. Sensory overload isn't always instant for me, sometimes I just need a couple hours of quiet mid-day without digging through settings every time.
Honestly this hits close to home, the low-battery mode alone is a thoughtful touch I have not seen on any dating app before. Excited to see where it goes once more people join.
the low-battery sensory mode is such a thoughtful touch, like genuinely shows the team actually understands what sensory overload feels like instead of just slapping a "neurodivergent-friendly" label on a normal swipe app.
