Last fall, we released 100,000 humans that don’t exist. But humans (I mean those that do exist) wanted more representation, more postures, and clothing styles, they wanted to have a hand in creating synthetic people. Well, here we are! Meet Human Generator, a FREE tool that lets you create custom full-body photos of people in a few clicks. What’s more, you can try real faces on generated bodies! How it works - You start with a random human - Choose age, gender, ethnicity, body type, and pose - Adjust hair color and style - Play around with clothes and accessories - Select the perfect background Or upload your face and repeat the above steps. Here are some examples: And here’s me with generated bodies in casual and James Bond styles. Irresistible. Without leaving the couch.

Pretty impressed, although I do have a few technical problems on occasions. Three legs, three arms, or a missing arm for instance. I also found that the accessories don't seem to function at all. I would like to have added a hat or sunglasses, but can't seem to do either. I don't always get the clothes I ask for either. Perhaps these little glitches will be sorted out in time. Other than that, I do enjoy playing about with the program.

Congratulations on the launch! Generating a diverse set of human representations can more challenging than it appears at first glance. I've been working on something similar (https://marketfit.ai, related but for ads), can tell you been working hard on that as well, specially for the full body shots.

Super fun and impressive! Some feedback: - I got stuck at a couple of points because it took me a whiel to realise there was a text prompt in there as well. I was changing things and it just kept giving me a space suit. Once I deleted the text prompt I had the control from the UI I expected. - I also found the poses provided an odd selection. I'm working on a website for an insurance company in India, definitely gonna try n generate some Indian humans with this for my project! Good luck on the launch 🚀

If I upload my personal picture, would you have reusing rights? I couldn't find the answer in the FAQ, and since this is a major concern for many people when playing with AI models, I thought you'd appreciate the feedback! Otherwise, impressive project! And I love the emphasis on diversity across ethnicities and age, looking forward to using you in prod and to see your characters in video games!

Great. The only drawback I noticed is that it takes a long time to switch between options. But overall, a very good product. Congratulations on the launch.

And I started thinking about getting a tattoo! 😅 (pls someone stop me)

Behind the scenes: UI tricks Hey, Product Hunt. I am a product designer at Generated Photos. For products like Human Generator, it’s critical to eliminate unnecessary load on generative models while providing great user experience. Among all the little things, a tooltip with the “Update human” button is the real traffic savior. It empowers users to regenerate results only when they need to, rather than with every parameter adjustment. The Update button is also strategically placed — it appears every time a parameter is changed. This way it is always close to the cursor allowing quick access (which is key to great usability!). Two important aspects about its behavior are worth noting: - If the user interacts with a different part of interface or scrolls, the tooltip immediately disappears, so that it is never in the way of the user doing something else. - Also, note that the tooltip is almost always positioned to the right of the entire row of values (when the parameter has "rows") to prevent it from covering any of the options. The only place where the “Update” button does not appear is the “Reset all” button. Initially we did place it there, but during testing we found that almost all clicks were immediately followed by other changes of parameters. So we decided not to show the “Update” button in this case. Instead, we implemented a state that encourages users to interact with the sidebar. This choice led to a significant reduction in server load. If you have any questions about UI or usability of Human Generator, feel free to ask in replies.

OMG, it's literally a gem for content creators like me! I had a hard time getting a midjourney account, this does the same job with no headache. Please keep it free at least for a couple of months, I'd sign up anyway
