A year ago I noticed buyers stopped Googling "best tool for X" and started asking ChatGPT. If the AI doesn't name your brand in that answer, you lose the deal and never even know it happened.
Every tool I found just gave you a score. A score doesn't get you cited. So I built Howseen to close the loop:
1. Track whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI actually recommend you vs your competitors, on your buyers' real questions.
2. Find the exact gaps: the questions where you're invisible but a competitor gets named.

timeline over screenshot, honestly. a single screenshot of an AI answer is trivially easy to stage or cherry pick, anyone can screenshot the one good answer out of twenty tries. the same prompt tracked over time with the publish date pinned on it is the thing that's actually hard to fake, because it shows the change happening in response to something you did, not just a good result that might have existed anyway. screenshots are still useful as the "proof" moment inside that timeline, just not as the primary evidence
I already auto-publish SEO articles for a couple of projects, and the part I can't see is whether any of it gets picked up by ChatGPT or Perplexity. one thing tho: for mobile apps the thing AI should cite is usually the App Store page, not a blog. do you track that too or only web pages?
One real question where a competitor was the answer last month and your customer is now, with the date the post went live in between. I think that before and after would sell it better than any score going up
