I built HotSeat because most interview prep tools felt either too easy (a chatbot that's suspiciously nice to you) or too generic (the same 20 MCQs everyone gets). Real interviews aren't like that. You get different people with different styles, some grinding on technical depth, some deliberately pushing back to see how you handle pressure, some just reading whether you'd fit the team.
So HotSeat runs your mock interview through multiple AI personas in the same session: a technical Grinder, a Stress Tester who interrupts and pushes back, and a Culture Fit interviewer, each one running on a different model so they genuinely probe differently instead of feeling like one bot wearing different hats. At the end you get a real report, scored across technical depth, problem solving, communication, and composure, with actual transcript excerpts backing up every score instead of a vague "good job, 8/10."
It started as a way to help candidates walk in more confident. The more I built it, the more I realized the report itself is something companies could eventually use to screen faster too. That's the direction I'm exploring next.
Would love to hear what you wish a mock interview actually gave you that you're not getting today. Happy to answer anything about how it works under the hood!

Who hunted HotSeat?
HotSeat was hunted by Aamir Khan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
