I'm Micah, the founder of Hoodli, and I'm excited to finally share what we've been building.
The idea behind Hoodli is pretty simple: finding out what's happening in your community shouldn't be so difficult.
Local events, businesses, organizations, and community information are scattered across Facebook groups, outdated websites, and dozens of different platforms. Even when something interesting is happening right down the street, it's surprisingly easy to miss it.
We're building Hoodli to bring more of that information together in one place.
Our goal is to make it easier for people to discover what's happening around them, connect with their communities, and give local organizations and businesses a better way to reach the people they serve.
But we're also thinking beyond just another local events calendar. We want Hoodli to become a useful place for everyday local discovery, without all the noise that comes with traditional social media.
We're still early, and there's a lot we want to build. That's part of why we're launching here. We'd rather get real feedback from people than spend months building features nobody actually needs.
I'd love to hear your thoughts:
- What's the biggest frustration you have with finding local events or community information? - What would make a platform like this genuinely useful enough for you to visit regularly?
Thanks for checking us out. I appreciate any feedback, good or bad!
