I’m the creator of HOMY.
If you’ve ever tried to find a room, WG, or flat in Germany (especially in university cities like Freiburg), you know the nightmare of scrolling through endless listing sites, copy-pasting paragraphs of text, and getting ghosted 95% of the time. On the other side, landlords and flatshares get flooded with hundreds of unorganized emails.
We built HOMY to fix this. By bringing a simple swipe-to-match mechanism to housing, we bypass the walls of text. You set your search criteria or room listing, swipe on candidates, and only chat when there is a mutual match. It’s cleaner, faster, and keeps all your conversations in one place.
Currently live in Freiburg and expanding! I'd love to hear your feedback on the matching mechanics, features, and UI.
