A lightweight, self-hosted web application designed to eliminate home network chaos. Track your smart devices, routers, servers, and IP addresses across multiple isolated locations (like your apartment, parents' house, or lab). Map physical cable connections, store credentials safely, and view everything in a clean, searchable Bootstrap 5 dashboard. No cloud dependencies, no heavy JS frameworks—just pure Python, SQLite, and full privacy.

Hi Product Hunt! I am the creator of HomeNetworkInventory. Like many tech enthusiasts and HomeLab owners, I hit a wall when my home network started growing. Between smart home hubs, multiple routers, Wi-Fi access points, Raspberry Pis, and isolated subnets, keeping track of everything in standard notes or messy spreadsheets became a nightmare. I wanted a dedicated tool to organize this chaos, so I built HomeNetworkInventory. What makes it different is the multi-home support, allowing you to manage your apartment, parents house, or office in completely isolated spaces. It also supports physical and logical links, so you can map ports and visually see how your cables connect devices. The application has no bloatware, as it is built using Python FastAPI and SQLite with a clean Bootstrap 5 UI. There are no heavy JavaScript frameworks and no external cloud dependencies, making it 100 percent self-hosted. You can try it out right now. I have set up a live sandbox demo for you to test the interface without installing anything. Demo Link: https://network.dronetales.net Credentials: Username: text / Password: test (Please note: it is a shared view-only environment for safety). If you want to use this for your real home infrastructure but are not ready to host it yourself, I am happy to create a private, secure, and isolated account for the first 10 users directly on my server. Just drop me a message here or contact me via my GitHub profile. The project is fully Open Source under the AGPL-3.0 license. I would love to hear your feedback, feature requests, and thoughts in the comments below.
