Why I built it: redesigning a room is a commitment problem. You can't know if you'll love a style until you see it in YOUR space — not a Pinterest photo of someone else's. I wanted the "try before you buy" moment for interior design.
The honest backstory: I'm a solo founder who built this nights and weekends around a full-time network engineering job. It took 12 builds to get through Apple App Review (iPad layouts, EULA wording, account deletion flows — the works). It's now live on both iOS and Android, fully bootstrapped.
Under the hood: React Native + Expo, Supabase for the backend, Replicate running ControlNet for the redesigns, RevenueCat for subscriptions. Huge thanks to those teams — couldn't have shipped solo without them.
What's next: empty-room mode (furnish a bare room from scratch), conversational edits ("make the sofa green"), and a shoppable catalog so you can actually buy what the AI shows you.
