Put your teammates in any picture, right inside Slack
A Slack app. Type /hologram, mention a teammate and say the scene; about fifteen seconds later you get two pictures of them, only for you, and send the better one to the channel.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Alex, and I made hologram.
It started with a team offsite photo that got rained out. We wanted the picture anyway, so I started making them by hand: everyone on a rooftop, everyone as a 90s boy band. It became our team's favourite thing in Slack, so I turned it into a slash command.
How it works:
• Type /hologram @maya @dev as astronauts at a bake sale
• Two different image models each make a version from their Slack profile photos (~15 s)
• Only you see them. Press "Send this one" and only that picture goes to the channel; the other is deleted
• Anyone can press "Remix with me" to put themselves in the same scene
Things teams actually use it for: birthdays (/hologram @cleo birthday), farewells, welcoming new hires, "we shipped it" posts, and a Friday team picture on a schedule.
On privacy (people always ask): nothing is uploaded and there's no gallery. Profile photos are fetched from Slack each time and not kept, nothing reaches a channel until you press Send, and sexual images, minors, harassment and fake "real event" pictures aren't allowed.
Free gets you 50 pictures to start and 12 a month. Pro ($19/month per workspace) adds group photos of up to 10 people, GIFs, styles, schedules and your own bot name. Product Hunt gets the first month of Pro free with code PRODUCTHUNT.
I'd love to hear the scenes you try. Post your best one in the comments 👇

Who hunted hologram?
hologram was hunted by Alex Thilen. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
