Hey Product Hunt 👋,
A few weeks ago I was in a work call, I couldn't remember the term "semantic search", for some reason I went blank it was honestly a bit awkward. I probably could have Googled it mid-call but that would just be awkward. I built Hintly so it never happens again.
Hintly sits in your Google Meet toolbar and offers in-call hints like:
- Defining terms names and acronyms
- Fills in the blanks when you blank!
- Fact checks claims live
- Remembers and surfaces details about people mentioned in the call
- Logs tasks intended for you
... all in real time.
No bot joins your call, Hintly reads Meet's own live captions. It's off until you turn it on.
First 60 minutes are free so feel free to try it out and let me know what you think!
This looks incredibly useful for meetings! Quick question: Are the term definitions strictly based on general knowledge, or is there a way for users to upload their own company's glossary or help articles so it recognizes internal acronyms?
the less memory > wrong memory call is the right one. one confidently wrong hint mid call and i'd turn it off forever. does it ever just say not sure instead of guessing
I like the concept and especially free 60 minutes trial. This is like a meeting assistant or secretary but in real time. I've added it to my collections to try.
One small feedback, the demo video did not make sense to me at first. It did not communicate the same message as in your description. Congratulations on the build and good luck with the launch. Cheers!
This could be useful – especially when you have a team member whose English is not understandable.
I remember having an interview with one guy from another country and I understood 20% of what was he saying (the worst was that when I used CapCut subtitles for English, the system didn't recognise the words as well) :D
Is this something that can encrypt English with a very poor accent? :D
Going blank on a term mid-call and not wanting to Google it while everyone is watching is such a relatable moment! I like that Hintly reads Meet's own captions instead of sending a bot into the call. When it surfaces details about a person who was mentioned, does that only come from the current call, or can it remember them from earlier meetings too?
