My wife used to ask "just tell me what you want" — and I hated the question. Say it plainly, and you get the thing but lose the surprise. So we built the middle. You hint to one specific person, not a list the family scrolls. Paste a link and it fills itself in — or hint at an evening out, not an object. Then the part that matters: once they start shopping, they get a private lane you can't see. Bought, planned, done — none of it reaches you. You said it. You still don't know what's coming.

Hi PH 👋 I'm Vlad. Hintik came out of a question my wife asks me every year: "just tell me what you want." I never had a good answer. If I tell her, I get the thing — and then there's nothing to open. If I don't, she guesses, and sometimes she guesses wrong, and then we both pretend for a bit. So we built the in-between. You send a hint to one person. Not a wishlist the whole family browses — one person, on purpose, because who you tell is half of what you're saying. The whole point is to tell someone what you want without telling them what they're getting you. Paste a link and it fills in the title, price, photo, sizes. Some shops won't talk to a server at all, so we read the page on your phone instead. It still fails on some stores. Send me one that breaks and I'll fix it that day. iOS is live. Android is in closed testing — press the Google Play button on hintik.app and I'll add you and send the invite myself. Free covers everything that has to work: unlimited people, both hint types, your own wishlist with a public link. Pro is $9.99 once, no subscription. I'd appreciate your feedback!

Who hunted Hintik?

Hintik was hunted by Vlad Petruk. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
