Hill Explorer is a mobile app for identifying peaks, mountains, and other nearby points of interest. Discover lookout towers, huts, springs, historic places, and other useful objects while hiking.
Hill Explorer started from a simple question my wife kept asking during our hiking trips:
“What hill is that?”
“And what’s that tower over there?”
Since I’ve been developing software for many years, I decided to build an app made exactly for her — something that could instantly identify peaks, landmarks, and interesting places around us.
What started as a small personal project slowly grew into something much bigger. While hiking together, we kept testing new ideas, improving the experience, and adding more features that outdoor enthusiasts would truly find useful.
Today, Hill Explorer is not just an app for my wife anymore — it’s a smart hiking companion designed to help anyone explore the landscape around them in a more interactive and fun way.
I’m really excited to finally share it with the Product Hunt community 🚀
