AI Coding Agent which helps you write production quality code. It generates code, runs commands, and debugs existing code all on its own. With built-in automation and intuitive UI, Helix helps you build enterprise grade softwares.
Built for AI-Powered coding, Helix is the best way to code with AI yet!
Hello Product Hunt Community!
I'm Nijansh, the co-founder of OpenGig, and I'm thrilled to be launching the beta version of our Coding Agent - Helix!
💡 Why Helix?
Our focus from Day 1 is to help businesses ship Production-Grade apps and not just toy apps. For complex projects, Helix is your coding agent.
On Helix, the agent understand other files if needs to read for every change in order to make an accurate edit. It will read the file itself without us providing the file, and then proceed with the update.
🎯 Our vision:
The most powerful Coding agent that combines the research and planning capabilities of CTO along with coding capabilities of SWE!
No more spending hours prompting back and forth for every feature you want to build.
Our PM Agent+Coding Agent will make Product Teams launch 100x faster.
❓ What makes us different?
Truly thoughtful agentic coding with extensive tool use (terminal, computer use, websites, etc)
Writes the best code with fewer mistakes, better self-healing, but no inline chat.
PM Agent right there in your VS code to plan user stories in detail
Experience pair programming like Never Before with OG PM Agent + OG Coding Agent!
🎁 Special Launch Offer!
To celebrate our Beta launch, early users will get:
We can’t wait for you to join us on this journey! Upvote if you’re as excited as we are and comment to put down your thoughts —much more coming soon. 💙🔥
@opengig_nijanshHow does Helix handle cross-file dependencies in complex codebases where a single change might ripple across modules? For example, if the Coding Agent updates a utility function, does the PM Agent proactively flag downstream impacts (e.g., broken tests or API contracts), or is there a separate “QA Agent” to validate system coherence? In other words, does the platform’s “self-healing” extend beyond local fixes to holistic project health?
This solves the biggest AI dev problem "context". Helix actually understands the repo and doesn’t just autocomplete code. That’s a game-changer!
Helix is a fantastic extension that offers a wealth of features without being expensive. I'm constantly amazed by its ability to generate code precisely as I intend, especially when I provide specific instructions and examples. Its integration with Claude makes it even more powerful.
Congrats on the launch, Nijansh and team! 🎉
Love the ambition here—especially the combo of PM + Coding Agent. The "reads the file itself" bit caught my attention. Curious how Helix handles edge cases in large codebases where file dependencies aren’t straightforward—does it trace through import chains or rely on heuristics?
It’s great to see how you’re helping teams launch production-grade apps! Helix is going to make a huge impact on coding efficiency across companies. Integrating a PM agent is such a powerful move — wishing you all the success ahead!
Congrats on the launch, Nijansh! What’s the most surprising use case you have seen so far?
How does Helix handle different programming languages, and can it integrate smoothly with existing development environments?
🎉 Huge congrats Nijansh & OpenGig on launching Helix! As an product lead, I'm blown by your "PM Agent + Coding Agent" combo – planning user stories AND generating production-grade code? That's a game-changer for dev teams! 🤖✨ The autonomous file-reading feature is genius – no more manual context dumping! 🚀 Terminal integration and self-healing also make it 10x smarter than typical AI coders.
Quick idea: Could you add a "code diff viewer" in the VS Code extension? Visualizing AI's changes would boost team trust.
Congrats on the launch, Nijansh and Team OpenGig! 👏
Helix looks like a serious leap forward for AI-assisted development. Love the focus on production-grade apps — too many tools stop at prototypes. The combo of PM Agent + Coding Agent working together directly inside VS Code is super compelling. It feels less like just “AI help” and more like having a full-stack teammate who understands both the product vision and technical execution.
so now with Helix, i can also be a programmer :))) Congrats on the launch, great tool!
This looks game-changing for dev teams! Love the 'debug on its own' feature – does it integrate with existing CI/CD pipelines?
Love how it handles the full dev cycle from generation to debugging.how does it enforce security/compliance standards in auto-generated code?
Turning any webpage into a collaborative workspace feels super practical. Definitely see this being a huge plus for teams handling knowledge bases, research, or product docs, all without jumping between tools. Great work 🚀
