Hi PH 👋 I'm Sven, indie iOS developer behind HelioPeak. After a a lot of weekend and evenings, today I'm launching it on Product Hunt. THE BACKSTORY I have solar panels on my roof, and like ~150,000 other people I upload my data to PVOutput.org, the largest community-driven solar data platform on the planet (running since 2009). The existing iOS apps for PVOutput felt either outdated, hidden behind subscriptions, or both. So I built my own. WHAT IS HELIOPEAK A native SwiftUI app that runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac. - Live dashboard with production and consumption curve, peak power tracking, revenue calculation, weather chip - Grid Import / Grid Export tracking if your system reports it - Charts (day / week / month / year / total) with year-over-year comparison and intraday cursor - Solar Moments, automatic notifications when you hit a new record (best day, longest streak, milestones, anniversaries) - Home screen widgets in 3 sizes - Multi-system support (one-time €6.99 IAP, no subscription), one system for free - 6 languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish - Annual report + year-over-year comparison PDF exports - Full data export to CSV and JSON - Heatmap visualization across years - Per-day notes you can attach to specific dates THE PHILOSOPHY I built this for myself first. Every choice is biased toward "what would I want as someone who actually checks solar production every day": - Speed matters. Even on an iPhone SE 2 with 4500+ days of historical data, dashboard cold-launch stays responsive - No tracking that follows you around, no ads, no subscription gates on basic functionality - Native everything, pure SwiftUI + Swift Charts + StoreKit 2, no React Native, no web wrappers - Privacy-first error logs that strip system identifiers before they leave your device - Localized properly, your interface language is yours to choose, separate from your iOS system language WHAT THE FREE TIER GETS YOU The full app, with one solar system.
