I got an ER bill I couldn't understand, paid it, and later found a duplicate charge. That's why I built Hedical.
It uses AI (Llama 3.3 via Groq + a vision model) to read any medical bill, EOB, or denial letter. It extracts every line item, flags duplicates and upcoding, and drafts an appeal letter ready to send.
Three things I tried to get right:
1. Every flag cites the specific code — not a black box
2. It works from a phone photo, no scanner needed
3. No insurance login, no data shared with insurers

A spellchecker for medical bills is such a needed tool, love that it cites the specific line items instead of just waving hands at "errors." One thing I'd want as a user is a running total of how much money you've actually saved after sending each successful appeal, kind of like a savings tracker across all your bills. Would make the value really tangible and keep people motivated to actually submit the letters instead of just generating them.
