👋 Hey Product Hunt! We’re the founders of Hatchr — a gamified app to help people overcome social anxiety through real-world exposure challenges. One of the founders actually grew up with social anxiety. He was shy, avoided eye contact, scared to take space in public… the usual. But something unusual helped him break through: he started street performing as a breakdancer. That meant performing in public every day! It was terrifying at first, but he did it anyway. Over time, something clicked. The fear didn’t vanish, but he stopped avoiding it. And that’s what changed everything. People started picturing him as an "extrovert". Later in life, we all realized: he had stumbled into exposure therapy without knowing it. The most effective, science-backed way to overcome social anxiety… disguised as breakdancing on a sidewalk 😅 So we built Hatchr to bring that same power to anyone who needs it (without the breakdancing part, haha). An app: 🧠 Based on exposure therapy, the #1 method for social anxiety 🎮 Gamified levels to track your progress + streaks to stay consistent 🤝 Built with a community of people all leveling up, together We wish we had a tool like this when we were younger. Now we’re building it for anyone who feels stuck, held back, or alone in their social anxiety. If that’s you or someone you know, we’d love for you to try it. Let us know what you think, we’re here all day! 🙏 The Hatchr Team Tibs, J, Ritch

Starting something new can be really intimidating, especially when social anxiety is involved. I love that Hatchr feels like a gentle way to take those first steps without pressure. Big congrats to the team for creating something that’s not just useful but kind, too. Wishing you all the best

Looks like a practical approach to building social confidence through structured, real-world challenges. Love the idea, @thibault_mundele

It is a really helpful app and it will help a lot of person with self confidence. Amazing idea

This is cool. Social capital is something hard (but not impossible) to do behind a screen.

congrats on the launch! I am really curious how this would feel like if I could actually use it!

Could you please share the promo code. Will help me test it. Thanks in advance.

This has always been a painful area for me... Meeting new people and spending time with strangers has held me back from many opportunities in the past.
That’s why it feels like this product was made for me!
I’m really excited about the journey ahead and the challenge it represents, so I went for the yearly membership.
Can’t wait to improve my social life!

The exposure therapy approach is such a smart foundation, and gamifying the experience with progress tracking and streaks makes it feel like a journey rather than a chore. Does Hatchr offer any personalized challenges based on individual progress or comfort level? It would be great to have something that adapts as you level up.

Wow, this hits close to home. As someone who used to be painfully introverted (like, ‘I-wouldn't-even-dare-going-to-parties’ level), I wish this existed years ago. Love how it turns exposure therapy into something playful and communal—no breakdancing required 😉. That streak system is genius for building momentum. Rooting for everyone who’s about to start their journey with this!

Love the concept of this app! The design is friendly and clean. One of my kids had some social anxiety and what really helped him was facing some of those fears on his own terms. What I like about the concept of the app is that it’s YOU deciding you want to face your fears instead of a human telling you to do it.

One of the most powerful ways to overcome social anxiety is by creating something useful or helpful—and having others appreciate it. That public recognition, even in small ways, can gradually rewire how you see yourself. Exposure to real-world interactions, especially when they lead to positive impact, builds lasting confidence over time. This is a great start and congrats to the Hatchr team!

I really love the design. I hope this app helps many people break out of their shell and truly soar. Congrats on the launch!

Does it let you set the intensity of challenges? I'm a bit introverted so starting slow would help.

Love the concept of hatching you've got going on! The UI and the mascot looks very 'cute' too. Will give this a try, congrats on the launch

@thibault_mundele @ritchrivia Let's gooo! This is us almost 10 years back 😂 You could catch us performing in any squares of the big cities. Now things have slighy changed... We came out of the street, took what what we learned and started Hatchr to help people with social anxiety :)
