Handover is a handoff document a machine can verify: anchored to a commit, carrying a command that must pass before anything is marked done. A linter checks it against your live repo. A trap-based benchmark measures whether it actually transfers. No LLM in the enforcement path. Zero dependencies. Apache-2.0.
Introducing Handover. I built this after watching an agent audit a git branch 288 commits behind trunk. Almost everything it flagged had already been fixed upstream. It wasn't broken, it just trusted a handoff nobody had checked.

anchoring the handoff to a commit and requiring a real command to pass before marking done is a quietly clever move. glad to see the linter and benchmark are doing the actual work instead of leaning on more model calls.
