I built Handover because freelance web designers and small agencies often hit the same annoying handover problem: clients need editable content, media, blog posts, docs, and forms, but setting up a full CMS, database, admin area, and backend for every single client site is slow and repetitive.
With Handover, you can create a project, scaffold a starter with the CLI, add your API key, and give clients a clean white-labeled /admin on their own domain. It handles hosted content, media, Markdown docs/blog posts, contact forms, and content APIs out of the box.
It also includes a payment-protection lock switch for unpaid invoices — built to help designers protect their work professionally without messy manual takedowns.
Handover currently supports Next.js, Vite React, TanStack Start, and Astro.
