Hi Product Hunt 👋

I'm Andrew, the maker of HabitIt.

I was trying to quit smoking. The plan was simple: switch to vape, then taper the vape down to zero. I needed an app that would automatically lower my daily cigarette limit each week while ramping up the vape, then start lowering the vape. Couldn't find one. Every habit tracker I tried was built around streaks: hit your goal each day or break the chain.

That model didn't work for me. In my app you set a starting amount, a target, a timeline, and the app does the math day by day. When you slip, it recalibrates forward instead of resetting. That's one of the main features of HabitIt.

Features competitors lack:
🪜 Journeys: auto-built daily plans that step toward or away from any goal - smoking, vaping, caffeine, screen time, steps, meditation.

🤖 AI insights: pattern detection across your logs - Automatically find the patterns that make real wins.
🔗 Chains: link multiple habits into one routine, log the whole thing in one tap.
🪄 Replacement habits: when you quit X, the app prompts you to build Y. Empty slots are where relapses start.
🚫 No streaks, no shame: cross your limit Tuesday, the app re-plans Wednesday. The slip is data, not a reset.

🎯 Actions: tap to log cravings, triggers, and urge wins in real time. Track what really helps the habit.

Advanced Features:

❤️ Health sync: pulls real steps, mindful minutes, weight - not self-reported.
💸 Cost tracking: see what you actually saved by reducing. Most people underestimate by 5-10x.
📱 Widgets / Watch widgets: log a habit straight from the home screen or lock screen, no app open required.
🎤 Siri shortcuts: log "vape 3" or "30 min meditation" with one phrase.
🪪 Share cards: clean progress images for stories, Reddit, group chats. Anti-flex by design.
☁️ Cloud sync / share profile: profile + history across devices or share your profile to others.

Pricing:

  • 7-day free trial

  • $3.50/mo or $25/yr

  • Free plan keeps unlimited habits with no ads

Built solo in Flutter with a lot of research on how people actually quit and start habits.

Genuinely curious for your feedback, especially from anyone who's tried tapering vs cold turkey on anything. Happy to answer anything.
