Plan tasks, organize projects, build habits, reach goals, and track personal metrics—all while project progress updates automatically. Use custom Perspectives built from tags to focus on exactly what matters. Habilitas is fast, private, and built natively for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
I’m Nicolae, the independent developer behind Habilitas. The app grew out of a problem I experienced every day.
I initially used Things because it made deadlines feel concrete by showing how many days remained—not just an impersonal date. I also appreciated the subtle progress visible in its sidebar. But Things focused on tasks, while I still needed Strides and Habitify for goals, habits, and personal metrics.
As my projects multiplied, I moved to OmniFocus. Its custom Perspectives gave me a powerful way to see what was coming next and what deserved my attention. But in the process, I lost the clear visual representation of project progress that I wanted.
The fundamental problem remained: every day, I had to open several apps to manage tasks, goals, habits, and metrics that often belonged to the same projects.
That is why I created Habilitas—one native app built around three ideas:
• Projects should clearly show their progress and combine tasks, goals, habits, and metrics. • Deadlines should show both the date and the number of days remaining. • Tag-based Perspectives should reveal what comes next and what matters most.
Habilitas 5 is the fullest expression of that original idea. It is available for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, with private iCloud sync and no accounts, ads, analytics, or third-party tracking.
I’d love to know: do you also use several apps to track different forms of progress? What would it take for one app to replace them?

Habilitas was hunted by Nicolae Turcan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
